Common questions

Blocking doesn't work on iPhone.
Distractless needs Screen Time access. Open the app and allow it when asked, or check Settings › Screen Time › Apps with Screen Time Access. Apps and websites you've set to Focus are blocked only while a focus block or schedule is running; 24/7 ones always.

Blocking doesn't work on Mac.
The Mac app needs two approvals the first time: turn on Distractless in System Settings › General › Login Items & Extensions › Network Extensions, then choose Allow when macOS asks to filter network content.

Why can't I remove a blocked app straight away?
On purpose. Adding a block is instant; taking one off asks for a short pause first, so the decision isn't made on an impulse. Lockdown blocks can't be ended early at all.

My Progress tab is empty.
Progress comes from your device's Screen Time history. It fills in after a day or two of use.

How do I sync my iPhone and Mac?
Install Distractless on both, sign in to the same Apple Account, and turn on sync in Settings on each. Blocked apps are chosen separately on each device.
